Shopping in Historic Downtown Snohomish
When it comes to holiday shopping, there is no better place to be then Historic Downtown Snohomish. There you will find more locally owned businesses then you can possibly visit in one day packed into a single street, and a bit beyond.
How do you tackle so much local goodness? You could try window shopping, although if you are anything like me, every window will make you want to go inside. That has a bit to do with the holiday spirit of the businesses. Each year they go all out with not only holiday decorations, but gnomes galore.
The city becomes Snognomeish and it is awesome. Some are obvious, and some are a bit harder to find. The SnoCo Kid and I have a blast trying to find them in all the windows while we are out and about. The best use of gnomes has to go to Artisans Mercantile and Skip Rock Distillers, who both made them look at home.
Back to the matter at hand though, shopping. I’ve taken some of the guesswork out of it by taking photos on my most recent trip. While they don’t even begin to show off all that each shop has to offer, they do give you an idea about what you will find inside.
So, visit one or visit them all (I do). You will find everything ~ old and new, city and country, handmade and beyond. There is something for everyone on your Christmas list, including you. There is also everything you could possibly need to deck your halls.
It’s not all about shopping though. You are bound to hungry, and when you do, downtown has got you covered with Roger’s Riverview Bistro, Andy’s Fish House & More. Wine and spirits more your thing, then hit Randolph Cellars, Kasia Winery, or Skip Rock Distillers.
Happy Holidays & Happy Local Shopping!
