Summer isn’t just about camping, hiking, and getting out on the water in Snohomish County. It is also about getting out, walking city streets, and shopping local (if you can find parking that is). Snohomish County is packed with spots to do just that. Here is a breakdown the top five spots to go and what my fave places shop, eat, and drink are for each.
# 1 Downtown Snohomish
No Snohomish County city packs more local businesses, restaurants, and more into such a small area than Historic Downtown Snohomish. That is probably why you can never find a parking spot there, at least not without having to go around its blocks a few times.
While the number of businesses more than earns the #1 spot on its own, there is more to it than that. The types of shops you will find are an eclectic set, ranging from new and trendy to vintage, antique, and locally made The best part, there are lots of places to stop and get something to eat and drink between shops.

While you are out exploring, don’t forget that the rest of Snohomish County’s cities have a lot to offer when it comes to local options as well. The Mill Creek Town Center is an awesome place to sit down to delicious eats and downtown Everett is full of coffee shops to quench your need for caffeine. If you are up for a bit of adventure with your local shopping, then Granite Falls, including a stop at Rustic Redemption and Hanky Pies, or Darrington, including stops at Clear Creek Candle, Mtn Loop Books & Coffee, and Burger Barn, should be in your future.
So many places to shop, eat, and drink, so little summer to visit them. Get busy!
